Gold vermeil is the technique of plating sterling silver with gold. All Swim to the Moon pieces are coated with 2 microns of gold. Tarnishing of vermeil naturally occurs, but if we take care of our jewelry we can prolong the natural change. To prolong the life of your vermeil jewelry it should be removed prior to swimming, bathing, showering, washing hands, exercising, and applying lotions.
